# Explorer API

> Read tokenomics changes and manage a monitoring watchlist with an exchange key.

The Explorer API serves the data behind [Compliance Explorer](/tools/compliance-explorer). With an exchange key you can read supply changes and run your own [Disclosure Monitoring](/tools/disclosure-monitoring) watchlist from code.

```text Base URL theme={null}
https://explorer-api.bluprynt.com
```

## Authenticate

Bluprynt issues exchange keys by arrangement. Ask [product@bluprynt.com](mailto:product@bluprynt.com). Send the key as a bearer token:

```bash theme={null}
curl -s "https://explorer-api.bluprynt.com/tokenomics/changes" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $BLUPRYNT_EXPLORER_KEY"
```

Each key carries scopes. A route only answers if your key has its scope.

| Scope | Routes |
| - | - |
| `tokenomics:read` | `GET /tokenomics/changes`, `GET /assets/{id}/tokenomics/changes` |
| `monitoring:read` | `GET /me/watchlist`, `GET /me/monitoring/changes`, `GET /me/notifications` |
| `watchlist:write` | `POST /me/watchlist`, `PATCH /me/watchlist/{id}`, `DELETE /me/watchlist/{id}` |

<Warning>
  The three `watchlist:write` routes change your watchlist. Everything else is read-only.
</Warning>

## Check the service

These two routes need no key:

```bash theme={null}
curl -s https://explorer-api.bluprynt.com/health
# {"status":"ok","info":{},"error":{},"details":{}}
curl -s https://explorer-api.bluprynt.com/openapi.json | jq .info.title
```

## Errors

| Status | `code` | Cause |
| - | - | - |
| `401` | `api_key_invalid` | The key is unknown, revoked, or can't call this route. |
| `403` | `api_key_scope_missing` | The key is valid but lacks the route's scope. |
| `403` | `signature_missing` | No key was sent. Direct access without a key isn't permitted. |

```json theme={null}
{"code":"api_key_invalid","message":"This API key cannot call this route"}
```
