# Proof of Collateral

> A machine-readable credential that shows what backs a tokenized asset.

An audit is a point-in-time PDF for one counterparty. Proof of Collateral is published once and read by many: lenders, exchanges, custodians, insurers and supervisors all check the same credential.

| **Reserve** | What backs the token, in what amounts, and the collateral ratio. |
| **Custody** | Where the reserve is held and how it's segregated. |
| **Redemption** | Who can redeem, how and on what timeline. |
| **Documents** | Attestation reports, custodian statements and constitutional documents. |
